The Pop Star Embraces a Twisted Persona of Herself in Satirical Film Teaser
The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for a significant film onslaught in 2026, starting with the mockumentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, she plays what she describes as a twisted version of herself.
It’s the truest representation of the entertainment world that I’ve ever seen, the star remarked.
She clarified in a conversation: It’s far from a live performance documentary, yet the concept came from the pressure to produce one.
A Glimpse into The Project
The initial preview, launched on recently, combines actual recordings from Charli’s Sweat tour with imagined off-stage interactions.
The mockumentary is helmed and co-scripted by her collaborator, who explained that the plot centers on a world where the artist opted for alternate decisions during the marketing of her hugely successful record Brat.

The film is a single one of several upcoming screen roles for the star, who has featured in three cinematic festival entries recently.

Additionally, she agreed to star in Dakota Johnson’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Score Contributions
The month of February will also include the launch of the director’s adaptation of Wuthering Heights, which will include original songs from the artist.
She is also set to compose the score for the film Mother Mary, featuring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release in the coming year.
The Moment is set to premiere on the 30th of January.
